Dear Sonia,
I am glad to write my first letter. My name is Lamia. I am from London but I reside with my grandmother in Chi Chester. I am a pretty teenager of medium height with a fair complexion. I study at King Charles’ school. Every morning, I go to school on foot because it is not far from home. After school I usually go to the super café to check my e-mail. By the way, I have just received a letter from an English young girl of 16. She is looking for pen friends. Her name is Linda. She is tall but rather slim. Linda says that she has a lot of hobbies, including painting and reading books. She is interested in other people’s culture and customs.

Linda and her friend generally spend their leisure time in the youth club in

Manchester. They often rehearse plays they have written. Linda's family is quite large.

She has three sisters and two brothers. Her father is a manager in a small chocolate

factory and her mother is a secretary in the same factory. The Olivers are a well known

family. They regularly give parties and invite many people. So Linda and her sisters
