Mon Apr 08, 2024 11:37 pm
The United States Embassy in Algiers is proud to announce that the American Cultural Center Algiers has reopened to the public as of May 30, 2023. The ACCA is now open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Visitors do not need to be a member to access the space but will need to present a valid national ID card to gain entry.
Speaking at the reopening ceremony, Ambassador Aubin said, “It is important that we reopen the ACCA because the Embassy is exactly that – open! The United States values transparency and equality. These spaces build bridges between the United States and Algeria.”
In addition to the American Cultural Center in Algiers, the Embassy sponsors American spaces in Constantine, Oran, Ouargla, and Bechar to help Algerians learn about English-language, American culture, and study and exchange program opportunities in the United States. American cultural centers are a cornerstone of U.S. diplomacy in Algeria and across the globe. Visitors can learn about the United States, build job skills, and practice their English.
