To set a valid objective make sure that it gives a clear idea about what
students are expected to be able to DO because of what they LEARNED in
the lesson.

In other words:

Think of evidence of learning and behavior that will SHOW it. This requires the use of a set of observable action verbs:

Examples:

Language behaviors:

alphabetize capitalize edit outline
read translate speak state
write pronounce recite summarize
punctuate say/tell

Study behaviors:

arrange categorize chart circle cite
itemize find label locate map
mark name note sort organize
underline reproduce diagram

Practice :

Rewrite the folling objectives so that they give a clear idea about what
the learner will be able to do using what he has learned.
